Join us for a screening program featuring shorts by four emerging filmmakers: Mohammed Almughanni, Ayman Nahle, Nadine Salib, and Ginan Seidl. Following the screening, there will be a conversation and Q&A session, moderated by Ghassan Salhab.

Led by one of the Sursock Museum docents, this tour guides you through the Museum’s current collection display, Ten Stories from the Sursock Museum Collection, giving insights into its history and highlighting key works on display.

To mark the launch of On Photography in Lebanon, there will be a 30-minute presentation of the book by Clémence Cottard Hachem at 18:00, followed by the book signing at the Sursock Museum Store.

This talk is organized in parallel to the exhibition Cycles of Collapsing Progress opening at the Rashid Karami International Trade Fair and the citadel of Tripoli on 22 September 2018, organized by the Beirut Museum of Art (BeMA) and Studiocur/art.

Join us for a performance by guitarist Rawad Abi Zeid. He will be presented by his professor from the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, Edy Dorlian.

Please join us for a talk by artist Laure Prouvost, whose work is currently shown as part of the exhibition Fleeting Exits.

To mark the launch of Nadim Asfar’s latest books, Hyper Images (2018) and Habiter Le Jour (2018), the artist will be in conversation with Hisham Awad.

Join us for a talk by curator and art critic Nicolas Bourriaud, known for his seminal book Relational Aesthetics. He will present on the role of contemporary art as anthropology and its implications, through a post-colonial reexamination of cultural frames.

This talk explores the Tricontinental solidarity movement and how it became a useful tactic in the sphere of art in Europe, United States, and Latin America.

Join us for the launch of the book, Past Disquiet: Artists, International Solidarity and Museums-in-Exile. To mark the occasion, Kristine Khouri and Rasha Salti will present the book at 16:00.
