Get your hands messy with clay! In this workshop, kids will experiment with clay, paint, and printmaking. Led by Balsam Abo Zour, children will learn about clay’s natural elements, textures, and placticity, to create an object made of clay. Using this object as a starting point, kids will then use paint and paper to produce prints. Participants will be able to take their projects home.

This workshop is programmed in conjunction with the exhibition Samir Müller: Painter of Clay.

Balsam Abo Zour is a visual artist living in Beirut. She received a diploma in fine art from Lebanese University and an MA in printmaking from the Académie libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA). She was a fellow at Ashkal Alwan’s Home Workspace Program in 2014-15.
