The Sursock Museum presents an exclusive pre-launch and book signing of Helen Khal: Gallery One and Beirut in the 1960s (Sternberg Press, 2023) with the co-author and co-editor Carla Chammas. The publication emerges from an exhibition curated by Carla Chammas and Rachel Dedman, at Sursock Museum in 2019 entitled, At the still point of the turning world, there is the dance, which was part of Home Works 8: A Forum on Cultural Practices organized by Ashkal Alwan. 

Helen Khal: Gallery One and Beirut in the 1960s is edited and co-authored by Carla Chammas, Rachel Dedman, and Omar Kholeif, with a forward by Christine Tohmé, and features writing and archival materials by Helen Khal. It is published by Sternberg Press in association with artPost21.  

Carla Chammas is an independent curator and art advisor. In 1991, she co-founded CRG Gallery in New York City, which operated for 27 years. With Rachel Dedman, she curated At the still point of the turning world, there is the dance (2019).
