Kids Lab - Creative Workshop
Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon

On Saturday June 13, 20, and 27, Sursock Museum invites children aged 6 to 12 to take part in My Village with Saliba Douaihy, a creative workshop inspired by the work of the renowned Lebanese painter. Beginning with a discovery of Soksok, the Museum’s educational book, the sessions will introduce participants to Douaihy’s distinctive landscapes through colouring and collage activities.
Drawing on the theme “My Village,” children are asked to bring a printed photograph of their village, neighborhood, or a place that holds special meaning for them. Through guided artistic exercises, they will transform their photographs into vibrant artworks inspired by Douaihy’s treatment of landscape, memory, and colour. The workshop offers a playful introduction to art while encouraging children to explore their own connections to place and belonging.
Held on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon in the Kids Lab, the workshops are free of charge and limited to 10 participants.
Registration is required via [email protected].
