Open to participants upon registration, The Summer School is organized by sociologist and art historian Pelin Tan, Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez, and Nora Razian, with students from the Architecture Faculty, Mardin Artuklu University, Mardin (Turkey). The sessions will focus on ongoing practices and discourses of critical urban ecology through the study of urban spaces around Beirut, and with a comparison of other trans-local cities and geographies. The summer school sessions consist of discussions, guest speakers and site visits with experts. It aims to research and discuss the redefinition of concepts within architectural and artistic practices in the era of the anthropocene.
