In this talk, Richard A. Chahine will present his archive, which he generously donated to the Museum in 2015.
The archive includes materials that document over 400 artists in Lebanon as well as extensive research on regional cultural heritage.
The talk will be preceded by a tour of the archival display from 16:00 to 16:30 in the Library, Level -1.
In the Archives of Richard A. Chahine is on display in the Museum Library from 10 May to 4 June. Chahine’s archive is available for consultation at the Library.
Richard A. Chahine (b. 1927, Beirut, Lebanon) is a local antiquarian and gallerist. Over three decades, Chahine gathered comprehensive documentation about the cultural landscape of the region – archaeological, architectural, and historical.
